BTW, I thought Mind Map is a bit similar to Fishbone Diagram. :o
Especially, a fishbone diagram example found in the second URL showing history of Germany in 1930's is interesting.

I think "Fishbone Diagram" is similar to "MECE" of "Logical thinking".
Mind Map seems to attach great importance to sensibility and free idea.

IMHO, MECE is intended for logic, but Mind Map for association of different ideas. In other words, Mind Map can be a help for inspirations. In this sense, they are a bit different.
